smells of the earth.
under logs.
wet leaves.
puddles.
play.
snow melting.
water filling the stream.
splashing and playing in the stream.
bursts of energy.
slowing down to sniff.
wet dogs.
smelly wet dogs.
water beading on their fur.
wet heads.
shaking dogs.
one at a time.
soaking wet me.
loving it.
thrilled for the excuse to be out in the rain.
i splash in puddles.
laugh at the dogs.
dogs wander.
dogs follow scents.
dogs walk home with me.
slow down. calm.
fire in the fireplace.
cozy and quiet.
sleep for all.
good night.
